This rug draws a classic Persian-style floral on a true red field. Paired sickle leaves in ivory, wheat and sage curl out from palmettes and a small center rosette, all linked by fine wheat vines and mirrored in both directions. A wide ivory border of coral-orange blossoms sits between narrow wheat guards and a thin red outer band, with no fringe. It is hand tufted in India with a 100% wool face on a canvas backing. The medium cut pile is 0.39 in on a total thickness of 0.87 in: dense, soft underfoot, with a gentle luster in the red. Like any new wool rug, it sheds at first. It suits a living room, dining room, bedroom or study. The size sold as 8x10 measures 7'6" × 9'6"; the 8' × 11' and 9' × 12' give more room, and custom sizes can be made to order. At 0.87 in it is thicker than most doors clear, so measure the gap first. It has no grip back, so use a pad on hard floors. Large sizes are heavy, up to about 157 lb, a job for two people. Spot clean only with mild detergent; it is not washable. It is not solution-dyed, so keep it out of strong sun.
