About this rug
This rug carries a classic Persian palmette design: a brick-red field of palmettes, rosettes and scrolling vines, framed by a wide black border of flowering vines and narrow tan guard stripes. Olive, gold, cream and soft pink pick out the details. The face is 100% wool, hand tufted on a canvas backing, with a medium pile about 0.39" deep. It is soft underfoot and 0.87" thick overall, so check the gap under any door it needs to clear. Like most wool rugs, it sheds at first. The warm red and black suit a living room, dining room, bedroom or hallway with wood furniture. Sizes run from a 2' x 3' mat to 12' x 15', with 2'6" x 8' and 3' x 12' runners, rounds, squares, ovals and a half-circle. Custom sizes are available, and some sizes are made to order. The rectangle in the 8' x 10' spot measures 7'6" x 9'6". Spot clean only with a mild detergent. Keep it out of strong sun. Use a pad underneath, since the back has no grip.
