About this rug
This rug draws a simple windowpane: cream bands run over squares of olive green, and a small tan knot sits where each pair of bands meets. The olive is streaked lighter and darker, so each square has quiet movement instead of a flat fill. The look is modern with a farmhouse lean, and it reads calm from the far side of a room. It is hand tufted in India with a 100% wool face on a canvas backing. The pile is 0.4 in and the rug is 0.7 in thick, soft underfoot without feeling deep. Like most wool rugs, it sheds at first. The back has no grip, so a felt-and-rubber pad keeps it in place. Sizes run from 2' × 3' to 10' × 14', plus an 18" sample. Custom sizes can be ordered from 1 to 18 ft long and 1 to 12 ft wide, round included. The 5' × 7'6" is 6 in shorter than a standard 5' × 8'. Spot clean only, with water only. The dyes are not fade resistant, so keep it out of strong sun. The room photo reads brighter and more yellow than the rug.

Construction
Hand tufted
Yarn is punched through a canvas with a hand-held tufting tool, then sheared to an even, plush pile and backed for strength. It has the look and feel of a knotted rug, made in weeks rather than months, at a gentler price.

Material
Wool
Naturally springy, so the pile stands back up after furniture and footsteps. Its lanolin helps it shed spills and dirt, it holds deep color for decades, and New Zealand wool, used in many of our rugs, is among the softest grades.
