About this rug
This rug is hand tufted in India with a 100% wool face. A light gray cut pile fills the field. Ivory loops stand slightly above it and trace rows of narrow upright bars from edge to edge. The lines waver a little, so the grid looks drawn by hand rather than printed. The pile is 0.31 in, and the rug is 0.51 in thick overall. It is soft underfoot and has some body. The colors resist fading. In daylight it reads cool and clean. Under warm lamps the gray leans toward greige and the ivory turns creamy. It suits a modern living room, bedroom or dining room that needs pattern without noise. It comes in 2' × 3' through 12' × 15', including a 3' × 10' runner, plus a 1'6" × 1'6" sample. Custom sizes run from 2 to 10 ft wide and 3 to 14 ft long, and rounds are possible. The 5' × 7'6" is 6 in shorter than a standard 5' × 8'. Clean it with professional rug cleaning only. Expect some shedding at first, as with most hand-tufted wool. The back has no grip, so lay it on a cushioned felt pad.

Construction
Hand tufted
Yarn is punched through a canvas with a hand-held tufting tool, then sheared to an even, plush pile and backed for strength. It has the look and feel of a knotted rug, made in weeks rather than months, at a gentler price.

Material
Wool
Naturally springy, so the pile stands back up after furniture and footsteps. Its lanolin helps it shed spills and dirt, it holds deep color for decades, and New Zealand wool, used in many of our rugs, is among the softest grades.
