About this rug
This rug is one warm camel tone from edge to edge. The pattern is carved into the pile, not printed: pairs of thin lines cross the field to form a large windowpane grid of open squares. From across a room it reads as a calm, warm neutral. Up close, the carved lines give it shape and a little shadow. It is hand tufted in India with a 100% wool face and a canvas backing. The pile is a medium 0.39 in and the rug is 0.59 in thick, with no fringe. It is soft underfoot and rated for high traffic. Expect some shedding at first. Sizes run from 2' x 3' to 12' x 15', with a 3' x 10' runner. Custom sizes go up to 12' x 18', round included. The 5' x 7'6" is 6 inches shorter than a standard 5' x 8'. It suits a modern living room, a bedroom or a dining room with light upholstery and warm wood. Spot clean only with mild detergent. The wool is not fade resistant, so keep it out of strong direct sun. The back has no grip, so lay it on a cushioned felt pad.

How this rug is made, and what it is made of
Construction
Hand tufted
Yarn is punched through a canvas with a hand-held tufting tool, then sheared to an even, plush pile and backed for strength. It has the look and feel of a knotted rug, made in weeks rather than months, at a gentler price.

Material
Wool
Naturally springy, so the pile stands back up after furniture and footsteps. Its lanolin helps it shed spills and dirt, it holds deep color for decades, and New Zealand wool, used in many of our rugs, is among the softest grades.
