Large circles and rings overlap and cut each other into segments of flat color: chocolate and mocha brown, golden tan, tomato-to-brick red, terracotta and a pale greige cream, with small dusty blue crossings and bands of sage and olive. The shapes run off every edge with no border and no center, so the rug has no top. The arrangement of circles changes between sizes and shapes, so yours may not match a photo of another size. It is hand tufted in India with a 100% wool face and a level medium cut pile of 0.39" on a canvas backing, 0.86" thick in all. A thin incised line parts the pile at each color change. It is soft underfoot. Like most cut wool, the pile shades lighter and darker with the way it lies, most in the dark brown, and it sheds for the first weeks. It suits a living room, bedroom, study or dining room with plain upholstery and warm wood. The size sold as 8x10 measures 7'6" × 9'6", which still leaves about 15 inches past each end of an 84-inch sofa when laid lengthwise. It is too thick for most door gaps, so measure first, and it has no grip back, so use a cushioned felt pad. It arrives rolled, and roll marks relax within days; the largest sizes take two people to move. Spot clean only, with water only; it is not washable. Keep it out of strong sun and rotate it every 6 to 12 months.
