About this rug
This rug is hand tufted in India from 100% wool in one warm caramel brown. The face is a low 0.3 in pile set in fine ribs that run across the width. Thin lighter lines cross the ribs in a loose grid, and a few large rectangles are traced faintly in the same brown. From across the room it reads as one warm color with a quiet, woven-looking texture. It is 0.6 in thick with a canvas back, soft underfoot and low enough to sit flat under a sofa or bed. It is pet friendly, and a robot vacuum can run over it. It suits a calm, minimalist room: pale upholstery, light wood and brass all stand out against it. Sizes run from 2' x 3' to 10' x 14'. The 5' x 8' size is 5' x 7'6". Custom sizes up to 12' x 18' and rounds can be made. Care is limited: spot clean with water only. Like most wool rugs, it sheds at first. It is not fade resistant, so keep it out of strong sun. Use a thin grip pad, since the back does not grip the floor.
