About this rug
This rug keeps things simple: a pale greige field framed by a wide border in a slightly deeper, heathered warm gray. Fine ribs run across the whole face. The surface has texture you notice up close, while the rug reads calm from across the room. It is hand-tufted in 100% wool on a canvas backing, with a medium pile about 1/2 in high. The rug is about 5/8 in thick overall, feels soft underfoot and is rated for high-traffic spaces. Like most wool tufted rugs, it sheds at first and settles with regular vacuuming. The border gives a sofa group, a bed or a dining table a clear edge without adding pattern. That makes it easy to pair with busy upholstery, art and warm wood. It comes in sizes from a 2' × 3' mat to 12' × 15', plus a 2'6" × 8' runner. Custom sizes, including rounds, can be ordered. The 5' × 7'6" is 6 in shorter than a typical 5' × 8'. Care is professional rug cleaning only. Keep it out of strong direct sun, and set it on a felt-and-rubber pad to keep it in place.

Construction
Hand tufted
Yarn is punched through a canvas with a hand-held tufting tool, then sheared to an even, plush pile and backed for strength. It has the look and feel of a knotted rug, made in weeks rather than months, at a gentler price.

Material
Wool
Naturally springy, so the pile stands back up after furniture and footsteps. Its lanolin helps it shed spills and dirt, it holds deep color for decades, and New Zealand wool, used in many of our rugs, is among the softest grades.
