Green Rugs

Our green rugs run from soft sage and seafoam through olive, grass green and deep forest tones, in hand-knotted, hand-tufted and hand-woven constructions. Most are wool.

Green has always been a field color in Oriental weaving, and that shows in the mix here: traditional patterns outnumber modern ones, and the hand-knotted pieces lean on medallion and floral layouts rather than the geometrics that dominate our other color collections.

Pairing and Placement

Olive and sage grounds usually sit under rust, mustard and ivory borders, which makes them straightforward to place in rooms with warm wood floors and leather or linen upholstery. The darker forest and teal pieces do the opposite job, reading as a contrast against pale walls and light oak.
