Up close, the lines mark out small squares. From across a room, the rug reads as one soft, mottled blue, which gives a room color without adding pattern.\n\nThe pile is low, about 0.3 in, and the rug is about 0.5 in thick, so it sits flat and feels soft underfoot. A canvas backing holds its shape. The back has no grip, so a thin rug pad keeps it in place. Like most new wool rugs, it sheds a little at first.\n\nIt makes a calm base for a living room, bedroom or study. Sizes run from a 2' x 3' at the door to a 9' x 12' under a full seating group.
