The ground has a light streak in the yarn, so it reads soft rather than flat.\n\nIt is made in India of 100% wool, tufted by hand into a medium pile 0.48 in high on a canvas back, 0.75 in thick overall. The pile is soft underfoot, and the rug is rated for high traffic. Expect some shedding at first, as with most hand-tufted wool rugs.\n\nThe palette bridges classic and modern rooms. The gold picks up warm wood and brass, and the gray-green ground sits easily with cream, white and soft blue.
