The ivory field is flecked with fine tan and light brown strié, and a plain tan band runs across each short end. From across the room it reads as one soft, warm ivory, with the bands giving the ends a clean finish.\n\nIt is hand tufted in India with a 100% wool face and a medium pile about 0.4 in deep, 0.6 in thick overall, on a canvas backing. The surface is nubby and soft underfoot, and the rug is rated for high traffic. Expect some shedding at first, as with most wool rugs.\n\nIt sits well in a calm, modern living room, a bedroom or under a dining table, next to light wood, linen and cream upholstery. Sizes are 2'×3', 5'×7'6\", 8'×10' and 9'×12', plus an 18\" sample. The 5'×7'6\" is 6 in shorter than a standard 5'×8'.\n\nCare is professional rug cleaning only.
