A thin incised line parts the pile at each color change. It is soft underfoot. Like most cut wool, the pile shades lighter and darker with the way it lies, most in the dark brown, and it sheds for the first weeks.\n\nIt suits a living room, bedroom, study or dining room with plain upholstery and warm wood. The size sold as 8x10 measures 7'6\" × 9'6\", which still leaves about 15 inches past each end of an 84-inch sofa when laid lengthwise. It is too thick for most door gaps, so measure first, and it has no grip back, so use a cushioned felt pad. It arrives rolled, and roll marks relax within days; the largest sizes take two people to move.\n\nSpot clean only, with water only; it is not washable.
